Our Ingredients

We believe you have the right to know exactly what you're putting on your skin. Every ingredient we use has a purpose. Nothing is filler. Nothing is hidden.

Core Ingredients

Grass-Fed Beef Tallow

The foundation of every Stitch Soap product. Tallow is rendered fat from grass-fed, ethically raised cattle. Its fatty acid profile — rich in stearic acid, palmitic acid, and oleic acid — closely mirrors human sebum, making it one of the most biocompatible skincare ingredients on earth. It also contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which support skin repair, barrier function, and healthy cell turnover. We source exclusively from grass-fed animals because the fat quality is measurably superior.

Coconut Oil

Added for lather and cleansing power. Coconut oil produces the dense, bubbly lather that makes our bars feel like a premium clean. It's also naturally antimicrobial and works synergistically with tallow to balance the bar's hardness and moisturizing properties.

Lye (Sodium Hydroxide — Saponified)

Every real soap requires lye in the making process. Through saponification, the lye reacts completely with the oils and fats — and is fully consumed in the process. There is no lye remaining in a finished bar of Stitch Soap. This is standard soap chemistry and nothing to be concerned about.

Pure Essential Oils

Every scent in our lineup comes from 100% pure essential oils — never synthetic fragrance. Synthetic fragrances are one of the most common sources of endocrine disruptors in personal care products. We don't use them. Each essential oil we select also brings functional skin benefits beyond just scent.

Specialty Ingredients by Product

Activated Charcoal

Used in our Charcoal soap and deodorant. Activated charcoal draws impurities and toxins to the surface of the skin through adsorption. Particularly effective for oily skin, clogged pores, and post-workout deep cleaning.

Coffee Grounds

Used in our Coffee soap. Finely ground coffee acts as a natural exfoliant, removing dead skin cells and stimulating circulation. Caffeine also has mild anti-inflammatory and skin-tightening properties.

Pumice

Used in our Working Mann soap. Natural volcanic pumice provides a heavy-duty mechanical exfoliation suited for calloused hands and hardworking skin.

Castor Oil

Used in our Harry Mann Shampoo Bar. Castor oil is a conditioning agent that adds slip, enhances lather, and supports scalp health. It's also high in ricinoleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties.

Dragon's Blood Resin

Used in our Viking Blood soap. Dragon's blood is a natural resin derived from the Dracaena tree. It has documented anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and skin-healing properties, and gives Viking Blood its deep crimson colour naturally.

Pumpkin Puree

Used in our Pumpkin soap. Real pumpkin contains natural enzymes that support gentle cell turnover, as well as zinc and vitamins C and E for skin health.

Deodorant-Specific Ingredients

Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)

Our primary odour neutralizer. Baking soda works by balancing the pH of sweat, which is what bacteria feed on to produce odour. No aluminum. No synthetic antiperspirant chemicals.

Arrowroot Powder

A natural starch that absorbs excess moisture and keeps the deodorant gliding smoothly. Completely skin-safe and non-irritating.
